Foreign Minister Tsahkna on the passing of His Majesty King Harald V: Norway has lost a beloved king and a unifying force
“King Harald V was a deeply loved and respected head of state among the Norwegian people, with an exceptional ability to bring people together. He devoted his life to serving Norway and was a steadfast source of support to his people in both good times and difficult ones.
For Estonia, Norway is a close friend and reliable partner. We are united by shared values, strong bilateral ties and close Nordic-Baltic cooperation. Throughout his long reign, King Harald helped preserve and strengthen the friendship between Estonia and Norway, doing so with the dignity, warmth and dedication that were so characteristic of him.
My deepest condolences go to the Royal Family and the people of Norway. Estonia mourns with Norway.”
