Baltic Film Days in Oslo

On 16 -18 October the Baltic Film Days will take place for the 17th time at the Cinemateket cinema in Oslo.

This year the focus is on Latvian films.

The opening film is: My Favorite War (Mans mīļākais karš) director: Ilze Burkovska Jacobsen (LV / NO), 2020. My favorite war is a documentary that is 75% animated. The film tells the personal story of the director’s upbringing in Latvia during the Soviet Union in 1970-1990. The film recently won the grand prize at the world’s leading animated film festival Annecy and is ready for premieres this autumn in both Latvia and Norway. Estonian films will be screened: Winter, Truth and Justice, Things We Don’t Talk About, Sipsik, Lotte and the Lost Dragons, The Circle and Out of the Box.

In addition, newer films from Latvia and Lithuania will be screened.
